Report of recent events and future plans

Before Christmas Trevor Dennis led a conference at Foxhill. It went really well, with sessions on the Bible as liberation or control, which gave food for thought for those who attended.

Bishop Peter has asked the Chester Board for Social Responsibility to take the Lambeth (1978,1988 and 1998!) call for dialogue seriously and they been arranging deanery sessions, with folk from Changing Attitude and True Freedom Trust talking about their experience of the Anglican reaction to their sexuality and their encounters with faith and the Church. We hope this will be a continuing listening process! More meetings are being arranged for April/May/June – dates and locations to follow. We are also poised to respond to the mailing sent out by the National Office to all incumbents/PCC secretaries in the diocese making our existence and availability known as a resource to move the debate on. If you are a member of a PCC you should be hearing about this!
