Report of recent meetings
July 2005

In April Ron Knott, one of our members, led an excellent discussion. He asked, "What do we mean by 'Evangelical'? and by 'Gay'?" He told of his experience as a group leader in a free evangelical church, which he was asked to leave by a new pastor when his sexual orientation became known. In the Anglican church he was used to speaking to groups about sexuality in his previous diocese of Guildford. Among conservative evangelical organizations dealing with gay people, only the True Freedom Trust remains: it is committed to celibacy for gay and lesbian people and advice to change their sexual orientation.

Sally Rogers, the Changing Attitude Development Worker, led a Training Day on Saturday 21st May for those willing to be available to speak at Deanery Synods and PCCs.
