Davis Mac-Iyalla introduces the newly formed Changing Attitude Network Nigeria

Greetings, Peace and Love from Nigeria.

We are very grateful to God for His grace which has helped us become part of the Changing Attitude network, which is very ready to help us aim the debate about our human sexuality in the Anglican church.

It was a big joy to start the group here with 35 persons in attendance on the day of our first meeting. More people keep showing interest and our numbers increased each time we met. I have called on friends from other Dioceses who are very active to help start the group in their respective churches. Most of the people I speak to on phone want me to reach them in person and to tell them what to do so that they can start the group in their parishes.

We know it will not be easy for us with the kind of government and church leaders we have here but by the grace of God we are very much determine to move on. We believe what is written in Psalm 24 verse 1''The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell in it ''.We are part of God's creation, therefore we need freedom to enjoy the world

We are looking forward to hearing from the Worldwide Anglican Gay Community, Friends and Partners to help introduce us to old and new experience, help us build a strong relationship worldwide, support us educationally and financially.

We will not fail to say thank you to the Reverend Colin Coward, who has been very helpful and always willing to give us the necessary information and assistance we need in this great task.

We pray that God will bless and keep you all and reveal to you more about the discrimination, stigmatisation, violence and hatred against gay men in and outside the church in Nigeria.

Yours in His Fellowship,
Davis Mac-Iyalla
